Accreditation
An application for accreditation of Global Addiction Therapeutics Innovation Day (GATID) 2026, taking place in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, 30 September 2026, has been submitted to the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®).
The number of European CME credits (ECMEC®s), if granted, will be announced as soon as accreditation has been confirmed.
Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
Through an agreement between the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS) and the American Medical Association (AMA), physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Information on the process of converting EACCME® credit to AMA credit can be found on the AMA website.
Live educational activities taking place outside Canada that are recognized by the UEMS-EACCME® for ECMEC®s are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

EACCME® credits
Each participant can only receive the number of credits the participant is entitled to according to their actual participation at the event, so live attendence is necessary. Once the participant, who attended GATID in Rotterdam, has completed the feedback form which will be send after the congress, accredition will be granted. Cf. criteria 22 of EMS 2023.07.
The EACCME® awards ECMEC®s on the basis of 0.5 ECMEC® for 30 minutes of CME with a maximum of 8 ECMEC®s per day. cr. Chapter XIII of EUMS 2023.0
