Bio

Associate Professor Shalini Arunogiri is a clinical addiction psychiatrist and NHMRC Fellow at Monash University, and Clinical Director of the Hamilton Centre and Turning Point Statewide Services — an Australian leading centre for addiction treatment, research and workforce development. She leads a nationally recognised program of research in integrated care for co-occurring mental illness and addiction, with a particular focus on trauma and PTSD, translating evidence-based treatments into routine clinical practice and driving system-level reform.

Shalini has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications and secured more than $25 million in competitive research funding. She serves on the Executive Committee of the World Association of Dual Disorders, is immediate past-Chair of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, and was a Board Director of the International Society of Addiction Medicine for five years.
